''Florentia Pelle'' is a family owned Italian leather factory located in Florence, born from the long experience in the leather industry of the Greco’s family members.

The company has it's own tannery and research lab that designs and manufactures a variety of handmade leather goods such as jackets, bags and shoes in various collections and styles. We realize special orders of custom made jackets in a big variety of colors and designs for our clients: You name it and we make it!

The shop is located in Florence and more precisely in the ''leather district'' of the city, Piazza Santa Croce: one of the most important and beautiful squares of Florence, where you can admire the basilica of Santa Croce classified as the largest Franciscan church in the world!

Our visitors can find a wide range of handmade leather goods, strictly MADE IN ITALY, such as jackets, shoes and boots, wallets, belts, suitcases and leather accessories. All of our products are made from local artisans that with passion and competence hand cut and hand stitch the leather produced in the family’s factory for over 50 years.

Below you can find a brief description of the materials of the displayed articles:

A unique type of leather produced and distributed exclusively by the FLORENTIA PELLE Company. Made out of our high quality goat skin, with a particular type of tanning, that gives it a very fine thickness (silk) and, at the same time, an excellent resistance.

The coloring is obtained by special anilines which gives the leather an outstanding brilliance, silk-like feeling and waterproof resistance.

This is a hand crafted process which uses the technique of hand painting on natural leather skin. The painting is done after that the bags and jackets are cut and sewn. Using this particular technique the color of the bag/jacket gets an evenly vintage look making it really unique.

A particular type of kidskin manufacturing process that gives reversibility to the leather. In our factory we work the leather in order to obtain a soft and smooth suede effect on one side and a nappa leather effect on the other side of the skin. The result is that the garment is reversible, “two jackets in one!”.

The classic lambskin produced by “Florentia Pelle” that always enhances the leather's naturalness, softness and lightness. Nappa leather is a full grain un-split leather, with a lot of original textures and markings slightly pigmented, which lets the surface grain show through. The nappa leather is very supple and lightweight but still tough and durable in spite of being soft.
